Pain and neurology care pathway FAQs.

Answers about pain and neurology care pathways, neurological rehabilitation and using WeGuide in your service.

What is a neurology care pathway or chronic pain care pathway?

A care pathway is a structured, multidisciplinary plan of care for a specific condition or stage of care. It turns guidelines into local practice, sets out the steps a team follows and helps make care consistent. A neurology care pathway might cover a condition such as migraine or recovery after a stroke, while a chronic pain care pathway covers the assessment and ongoing support of pain that lasts for more than three months.

What is neurological rehabilitation?

Neurological rehabilitation helps people regain function and independence after a condition affecting the brain or nervous system, such as a stroke. A multidisciplinary team, which may include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, nurses and doctors, works towards goals agreed with the person. It often begins in hospital once the person is medically stable and continues at home or in the community.

Which pain and neurology care pathway fits my service?

It depends on the people you care for. Chronic pain management suits pain services supporting people whose pain persists, with pain history, questionnaires and self-management education. Migraine management suits headache services, with a headache diary and check-ins between reviews. Stroke recovery supports life after hospital and between therapy sessions. A service can run one pathway or several on the same WeGuide platform, and more can be added later.

Can pain and neurology care be supported remotely?

Parts of it can. Questionnaires, headache diaries, patient education, reminders, check-ins and some video consultations can happen between visits, where the care team agrees. Physical and neurological examinations, scans, hands-on therapy and many rehabilitation sessions usually need an in-person appointment. Sudden symptoms, such as signs of a stroke or a sudden, severe headache, need urgent care through local emergency services, not a digital check-in.

How can clinics get started with pain and neurology care pathways on WeGuide?

Contact WeGuide to discuss your pain, headache or rehabilitation service, patient populations and existing workflow. Together, we can choose the pathway to start with and identify the intake forms, validated questionnaires, patient education, follow-up schedule and any integrations needed. More pathways can be added on the same platform later. Your clinical team defines each protocol and all care decisions.

How much does a pain and neurology care pathway with WeGuide cost?

WeGuide pricing depends on the scope of your care pathways, configuration, integrations and support requirements. Contact our team to discuss your service and request a proposal. Clinical consultation, therapy, rehabilitation and treatment fees are set separately by the care provider, and WeGuide does not supply devices or clinical staff.

Request patient access

Your care, between visits.
A conversation worth starting.

Not all clinicians are using WeGuide yet. If your pain, headache or rehabilitation team isn't connected, share their practice details so we can discuss access to the right pathway with them.

Requesting access does not book an appointment. Your care team decides which pathway and next steps are right for you.
